Weekend Online Webinar (WOW), A Collaboration with APDSA MD

Malaysian Dental Students’ Association has collaborated with Asia Pacific Dental Student Association, Malaysia Division (APDSA-MD) to a webinar series entitled “Weekend Online Webinar (WOW)”. This event has provided learning opportunities from renowned and experienced speakers for the dental students from not only Malaysia but also the Asia Pacific countries in the comforts of their home due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. 

This webinar series was held over the course of 3 months, from 18th October until 26th December 2020. Topics that were included are dental photography, academic lectures like removable partial denture design, anterior and posterior composite restoration, a talk on better understanding of MDA, forum discussion on different specialties, as well as having virtual workshops.

From this event, we have successfully garnered a sum of approximately RM4,000, which are all utilised for a community project later on (Serve for Smiles) via donation for the underprivileged in the welfare homes.
